Summary:

5 main categories of life quality - physical activity, mental health, social and role functioning, sexual functioning - of 175 respondents who have had an abdominal pregnancy have been under study. Of these 60 women from group I have had the radical operations and 115 women from group II have undergone organ-saving operations. Patients of both groups marked the reduction of physical activity in the early postoperative period, but more severe symptoms were observed in group I patients, which was probably associated with more severe condition of patients before surgery, large extent of surgical intervention and laparotomy access. The role of women in working space and in housekeeping seems preferable in group II in comparison with patients from group I.
Changes in sexual dissatisfaction and unattractiveness are lesser in group II patients (1,0 and 1,2 points) compared with women in group I (1,5 -1,3 points). Analysis of scores of social functioning did not reveal significant differences in the compared groups of women.
In group I most respondents (57%) evaluated the current state of health as satisfactory. Most women (52.7%) in group II described it as good. 21,5% of interviewed women in group I and 1.8% of women in group II stated their condition as bad
