Evaluation of clinical efficacy of immunocorrection therapy for curing oral cavity candidosis

Year: 2011, volume 7 Issue: №2 Pages: 477-481
Heading: Stomatology Article type: Original article
Authors: Bulkina N.V., Panchenko A.D.
Organization: Saratov State Medical University
Summary:

The research goal is to increase the efficacy of oral cavity candidosis treatment. 97 patients with oral cavity can-didosis have been examined and treated. Diagnostics of germ culture, microscopical investigation of smear of oral mucosa and the sensitivity determination of causal agents to antifungal drugs have been performed. In order to assess immunological status of patients the concentration of immunoglobulins in their saliva has been determined. In order to find out specific antibodies for yeast-like fungi immune-enzyme blood analysis has been used. All the patients have received complex treatment. The control group has been administered immunomodulator «Gepon» for application to oral mucosa. 64.8% of patients with chronic oral cavity candidosis have had low concentration of immunoglobulin G in their blood serum. The concentration of immunoglobulins IgA, IgG and IgM in oral fluid has been lower than normal. The treatment efficiency has been considered as a way of recovery of local immunological status. Local administration of «Gepon» has been proved to increase the treatment quality and remission period

The treatment of nystagmus by periodic light influence

Year: 2010, volume 6 Issue: №2 Pages: 351-352
Heading: Ophtalmology Article type: Short message
Authors: T.B. Usanova
Organization: Saratov State Medical University
Summary:

The data about results of treatment of nystagmus by periodic light influence are brought. 56 patients with various kinds of nystagmus received the treatment. After treatment the stable reduction of nystagmus' amplitude was observed in 85 % of cases. The efficiency of treatment raised at reduction of a time interval between repeated courses of treatment. It is marked, that at an arrangement of light sources along the horizontal axis parallel to an axis of eyes' arrangement, at vertical and rotator nystagmus light influence can suppress, for example, a horizontal component of nystagmus, poorly influencing on its vertical component. It is shown, that accommodation of light sources in these cases in a frontal plane with an opportunity of a choice of it's position can raise efficiency of treatment of vertical or rotator nystagmus

Clinical efficiency of desloratadine therapy in children with persistent form of allergic rhinitis and its effect on bronchial asthma symptoms

Year: 2010, volume 6 Issue: №1 Pages: 073-076
Heading: Internal Diseases Article type: Original article
Authors: V.I. Petrov, N.V. Maljuzhinskaya, I.N. Shishimorov
Organization: Volgograd State Medical University
Summary:

The research goal was to study the clinical efficiency of desloratadine therapy in children with persistent form of allergic rhinitis and to evaluate its effect on bronchial asthma symptoms.
A prospective, randomized, open, parallel-group study of the effectiveness of desloratadine in children with persistent allergic rhinitis aged 2 - 16 in a four-week term was carried out. the effectiveness of therapy was evaluated by dynamics of clinical symptoms and rhinomanometry.
the study showed that desloratadine was an effective medication in treatment of persistent allergic rhinitis in children of different age groups. It controlled nasal and other symptoms of allergic rhinitis and provided the reduction of stuffiness in nose and improvement of breathing through the nose. the medication significantly effected histamine-induced symptoms (itching, sneezing, rhinorrhea). In children with allergic rhinitis and bronchial asthma the positive dynamics of symptoms of asthma was observed.
the effectiveness of treatment with desloratadine in children with isolated allergic rhinitis was proved to be higher than in patients with concomitant bronchial asthma

Parameters Of Life Quality Of Women Undergone Abdominal Pregnancy

Year: 2009, volume 5 Issue: №4 Pages: 531-533
Heading: Obstetrics and Gynecology Article type: Original article
Authors: I.A. Salov, L.V. Kaushanskaya
Organization: Rostov Scientific Research Institute of Obstetrics and Pediatrics, Saratov State Medical University
Summary:

5 main categories of life quality - physical activity, mental health, social and role functioning, sexual functioning - of 175 respondents who have had an abdominal pregnancy have been under study. Of these 60 women from group I have had the radical operations and 115 women from group II have undergone organ-saving operations. Patients of both groups marked the reduction of physical activity in the early postoperative period, but more severe symptoms were observed in group I patients, which was probably associated with more severe condition of patients before surgery, large extent of surgical intervention and laparotomy access. The role of women in working space and in housekeeping seems preferable in group II in comparison with patients from group I.
Changes in sexual dissatisfaction and unattractiveness are lesser in group II patients (1,0 and 1,2 points) compared with women in group I (1,5 -1,3 points). Analysis of scores of social functioning did not reveal significant differences in the compared groups of women.
In group I most respondents (57%) evaluated the current state of health as satisfactory. Most women (52.7%) in group II described it as good. 21,5% of interviewed women in group I and 1.8% of women in group II stated their condition as bad
