The far long-wave ultraviolet lichen planus therapy with the use of clearing agents

Year: 2017, volume 13 Issue: №3 Pages: 579-585
Heading: Dermatovenerology Article type: Original article
Authors: Artemina ЕМ, Utz SR, Zimnyakov DA, Slesarenko NA, Yuvchenko SA.
Organization: Saratov State Technical University n.a. Yu.A. Gagarin, Saratov State Medical University
Summary:

The goal: to increase the effectiveness of far long-wave ultraviolet therapy in patients with lichen planus using immersion agents. Materials and Methods. The study included 50 patients aged from 18 to 65 years with typical and hypertrophic forms of lichen planus who had received UVA1-therapy. All the patients were divided into 2 groups: in the 1-st group before the phototherapy on the elements of lichen planus caused an clearing agent propylene glycol (PG) and in the 2nd group PG was not used. The dynamics of the enlightenment of the skin was assessed using optical coherence tomography. After the end of treatment was a decrease in mean group values of ILP 96% of the original value, pruritic index 98%, DLQI 87% respectively. Results. In the 1-st group patients occurred more rapid resolution of the pathological process, the rate of phototherapy was 15-20 procedures. In the 2nd group to complete resolution of the pathological process, required an increase in the number of procedures to 20-25. Conclusion. Far long-wave UV therapy showed high efficacy and compliance in patients with lichen planus, the use of the 1,2-PG allowed to shorten the duration of treatment of patients.

The results of the analysis of lichen planus episodes in the Krasnodar region for 2012-2015years and its clinical features

Year: 2016, volume 12 Issue: №3 Pages: 458-462
Heading: Dermatovenerology Article type: Original article
Authors: Tlish M.M., Sycheva N.L., Osmolovskaya P.S., Shavilova M.E.
Organization: Kuban State Medical University
Summary:

Aim: to study the features of lichen planus in the Krasnodar region. Materials and methods. Total 68 clinical cases have been analyzed. The patients were subdivided into age groups in accordance with physiological age gradation. The Classification of lichen planus proposed by the Federal clinical guidelines for the management of patients with lichen planus (Moscow, 2015) was used. The diagnosis in each case was confirmed by histological examination of biopsy specimens of the skin. The data on the prevalence of lichen planus was obtained from the annual reports of the Clinical dermatovenerology dispensary of Krasnodar city from year 2012 to 2015. Results. Women were found to suffer

The comparative analysis of dermatoscopy picture of lichen planus and psoriasis

Year: 2016, volume 12 Issue: №3 Pages: 449-453
Heading: Dermatovenerology Article type: Original article
Authors: Sherstobitova K.Yu., Schnaider D.A., Utz S.R.
Organization: Saratov State Medical University
Summary:

Aim: analysis of different dermatoscopic patterns of lichen planus and psoriasis. Material and methods. We observed 80 patients: 40 with psoriasis, 40 — with lichen planus. Dermatoscopic study was conducted using video-dermatoscope of expert class "MoleMaxHD" (Derma Medical Systems company, Austria), under magnification from хЗО to x80. Results. Comparing the dermotoscopic findings of psoriatic plaque and lichen planus, vascular features were found to be more significant in psoriasis and in lichen planus non-vascular features were more prominant. Conclusion. Dermoscopy can be successfully used in differential diagnosis of these dermatoses.

Authors: Talnikova Е.Е., Sherstneva V.N., Utz S.R.
Organization: Saratov State Medical University
Summary:

The article presents the historical origin of the term "Koebner phenomenon". The literature data reflect the etiology, pathogenesis and epidemiology of isomorphic mechanisms provoking responses in lichen planus, psoriasis, scleroder-ma, syphilis. Variants of the Koebner phenomenon's classifications are given. The clinical cases of limited scleroderma after mechanical injury are described.

he role of vascular endothelial growth factor in the pathogenesis of lichen planus and psoriasis

Year: 2014, volume 10 Issue: №3 Pages: 539-542
Heading: Skin Diseases Article type: Short message
Authors: Artemina Е.М., Shtoda U.М., Slesarenko N.A., Bakulev A.L., Utz S.R.
Organization: Saratov State Medical University
Summary:

The goal: to investigate the process of angiogenesis by determining the level of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in the blood serum of patients with lichen planus (CPL) and psoriasis. Material and Methods. The study included 50 patients with CPL, 62 patients with psoriasis and 36 were in the control group of healthy individuals. All of the participants were to determine the level of VEGF in a blood serum before treatment. Results. Patients with CPL had an increase in the level of VEGF in serum prior to 1992 pg/ml, in the patients with psoriasis — up to 1748.8 pg/ml. Level of VEGF in healthy individuals ranged from 37 to 475 pg/ml. Conclusion. When the CPL and psoriasis excessive angiogenesis is observed, elevated levels of VEGF in the serum of these patients and it is possible that vascular normalization such element of pathogenesis of psoriasis and CPL lead to stable remission of these dermatoses.

Phototherapy in complex treatment of patients with lichen planus

Year: 2013, volume 9 Issue: №3 Pages: 530-533
Heading: Dermatovenerology Article type: Original article
Authors: Reshetnikova Е.М., Utz S.R., Slesarenko N.A.
Organization: Saratov State Medical University
Summary:

Aims. Estimating of the efficiency of different immunosuppressive methods in patients with lichen planus and choice of tactics of treatment. Materials and methods. The study included 60 patients with disseminated forms of lichen planus in age from 10 to 60 years. Patients have received various types of immunosuppressive therapy (cyclosporine, hormones, PUVA therapy, UVA-1-therapy) and in accordance with this were divided into 4 groups. Results. Clinical resolution or significant improvement in short terms has been achieved mainly as a result of hormone therapy and physiotherapy methods, but not all of these methods are well tolerated in patients. Conclusion. The results showed that the enhancement of local treatment expense physiotherapeutic techniques (UVA-1 therapy), contributes to more rapid clinical resolution, and safer for the patient.
