Year: 2018, volume 14 Issue: №3 Pages: 567-570
Heading: Traumatology and Orthopedics Article type: Case report
Authors: Matveeva O.V., Bazhanov S.P., Ponomareva Е.Е., Tolkachev V.S.
Organization: Penza Regional Oncology Centre
Summary:

Aim: to demonstrate the necessity of modern methods of morphological verification in the differential diagnostics of primary and secondary neoplastic lesion of spinal cord. It is shown that histogenesis of tumor cells should be regarded from the viewpoint of comparative assessment of traditional and complementary methods of morphological verification that outlines the necessity of complex differential morphological diagnostics with apparent priority of immunohisto-chemical methods for the verification of final diagnosis of metastatic lesion in a rarely seen localization.

Complex stimulation of peripheral nerve regeneration after deferred neurorrhaphy

Year: 2017, volume 13 Issue: №3 Pages: 732-737
Heading: Traumatology and Orthopedics Article type: Original article
Authors: Ivanov A.N., Korshunova G.A., Matveyeva O.V., Ninel V.G., Shutrov I.E., Shchanitsyn I.N., Andronova Т.А., Norkin I.A.
Organization: Saratov Regional Child Clinical Hospital, Saratov State Medical University
Summary:

The aim is to study the complex stimulation effect including skin autotransplantation and electrical stimulation of the sciatic nerve on microcircular, electrophysiological and morphological changes after deferred neurorrhaphy in rats. Material and methods. The experiment was performed in 50 albino rats divided into control, comparative and experimental groups. In the experimental group, on the background of deferred neurorrhaphy, skin autotransplantation and electrical stimulation of the sciatic nerve had been carried out. In the comparative group only deferred neurorrhaphy was performed. Research methods included laser doppler flowmetry, electroneuromyography and morphological analysis of the operated nerve. Results. Complex stimulation including skin autotransplantation and direct action of electrical pulses on the sciatic nerve after its deferred neurorrhaphy causes restoration of bloodstream in the operated limb, promotes intensification of restoration of nerve fibers. Conclusion. Intensification of sciatic nerve regeneration after deferred neurorrhaphy in rats under the influence of complex stimulation including full-thickness skin graft autotransplantation and direct action of electrical pulses substantiates experimentally appropriateness of clinical testing of the given method for treatment of patients with peripheral nerve injuries.

Morphological studies in the diagnosis of primary and secondary bone tumors

Year: 2016, volume 12 Issue: №4 Pages: 566-570
Heading: Clinical Laboratory Diagnostics Article type: Original article
Authors: Matveeva O.V., Zhandarova L.F., Pavlenko A.A., Kesov L.A.
Organization: Saratov State Medical University
Summary:

The aim: to show the possibility of morphological studies in the diagnosis of primary and secondary tumors of bones. Material and Methods. 105 (72%) patients with primary bone tumors aged from 15 to 66 years and 42 (28%) patients with metastatic bone lesions aged from 42 to 70 years were examined and treated for the period from 2008 till 2015. Material for morphological studies was prepared using an open biopsy tissue slices and a scraping resected tumor during surgery. Soft-tissue component is subjected to cytology. The material for histological study included changes in bone and soft tissue. Results. Giant cell tumor was verified in 45% of cases by histological examination. Multiple myeloma was diagnosed in 15% of patients. Osteogenic sarcoma was diagnosed in 14% of cases. Ewing's sarcoma was diagnosed in 3%, 2% of cases were matched by diagnosed chordoma. According to the data received, cancer metastasis of kidney and lung is mostly diagnosed in men from the group of patients with secondary bone defeat. Metastasis of cancer of the breast in women was predominated. Conclusion. The morphological (histological, cytological) study plays an important role in the diagnosis of bone tumors. The coincidence of the cytological and histological diagnoses was 97%.

Clinical and morphological characteristics of chronic duodenitis in children

Year: 2012, volume 8 Issue: №3 Pages: 799-803
Heading: Pediatrics Article type: Original article
Authors: Tishchenko D.V., Matveeva O.V., Chernenkov Yu.V., Maslyakova G.N., Bucharskaya A.B.
Organization: Saratov State Medical University, Engels City Polyclinic №3
Summary:

The research goal is to determine clinical, endoscopic and morphological signs of chronic duodenitis in children. Materials and methods: The diagnostic value of molecular markers has been revealed by immunohistochemical research of biopsy. It has been received from endoscopic examination of 32 children aged from 3 to 17 years old with chronic duodenitis. Morphometric investigation of markers expression has been carried out by means of analyzing system of digital images of Mikrovizor medical uVizo-103. Results: The index of proliferation has been higher in cells of cover epithelium than in glands. The inductor expression of apoptosis Bax has been poorly expressed in both groups of patients. It has been proved that proliferative processes are predominant in this pathology. Conclusion: It has been found out that proliferation of significant activity in the cover epithelium accompanies the development of preatrophic processes in children with chronic duodenitis. The greater degree of regeneration has been marked in crypts.

Characteristics of Clinico-pathologic Presentations of Chronic Gastroduodenitis in Children with Lambliasis Invasion

Year: 2012, volume 8 Issue: №1 Pages: 016-022
Heading: Macro- and Micromorphology Article type: Original article
Authors: Matveeva O.V., Maslyakova G.N., Zhandarova L.F., Popova I.Yu., Neklyudov Yu.A., Alekseev Yu.D.
Organization: Saratov State Medical University
Summary:

The analysis of anamnestic and clinical indices, and also morphological investigation of biopsy materials of mucous coat of stomach and duodenum in children with chronic gastroduodenitis of different etiology including lambliasis invasion is carried out with the purpose of detecting features of clinicopathologic presentations of chronic gastroduodenitis in children with and without lambliasis invasion. Material and methods. 100 patients (50 children with confirmed lambliasis invasion and 50 patients without lambliasis invasion) aged from 2 up to 16 were under observation. The material for histologic study was received as a result of fibrogastroduodenoscopy carried out with target biopsy of fundic, antrum and duodenum mucosa. Results. As a result of the findings moderate pains sited in epigastric and periumbilical regions are characteristic for children with lambliasis invasion; irradiation and cramping characteristics of pains are typical. Conclusion. Manifestation of pains is not connected with the time of day and food intake, manifestation of seasonal prevalence is not typical as well, and progression of inflammatory process in the mucous coat of the stomach and duodenum is declared itself as a diffuse gastritis of the fundic part, a diffuse gastritis of the antral part, subatrophic duodenitis with cyst formation of Brunner's glands, and also the presence of eosinophilic leucocytes in the cellular infiltrate
