Comparative characteristics of microcirculatory changes in white rats during subcutaneous implantation tests of polycaprolactone scaffolds containing vaterite and hydroxyapatite

Summary:

Objective: comparative evaluation of skin microcirculatory functional changes over the implantation area of polycap-rolactone scaffolds with mineral carriers: vaterite and hydroxyapatite. Material and Methods. The experimental study was performed on 43 rats divided into three groups: two test groups and one negative control group. Polycaprolactone PCL-scaffolds containing ovalbumine and of no biocompatibility were implanted into the rats of negative control group (n=15). The implantation of PCL- scaffolds containing vaterite under their skin was performed on rats of the first test group, and animals of the second test group were implanted with PCL-scaffolds containing hydroxyapatite. The method of laser Doppler flowmetry was used to study the microcirculatory flow. Results. The constant increase in the perfusion index has been observed in the area of non-biocompatibile scaffolds implantation. Thechanges in local skin blood flow modulation have been also detected. The transient character of local microcirculatory responses with total normalization of skin perfusion and its mechanisms has been noticed by the 21st day of the trial following PCL-scaffolds with vaterite and hydroxyapatite implantation. Conclusion. The dynamic monitoring has allowed finding that mineralization of PCL-scaffolds with vaterite as well as hydroxyapatite leads to no prominent changes in skin perfusion at subcutaneous implantation tests on white rats suggesting the biocompatibility of these scaffold types.

Summary:

The aim is to study the complex stimulation effect including skin autotransplantation and electrical stimulation of the sciatic nerve on microcircular, electrophysiological and morphological changes after deferred neurorrhaphy in rats. Material and methods. The experiment was performed in 50 albino rats divided into control, comparative and experimental groups. In the experimental group, on the background of deferred neurorrhaphy, skin autotransplantation and electrical stimulation of the sciatic nerve had been carried out. In the comparative group only deferred neurorrhaphy was performed. Research methods included laser doppler flowmetry, electroneuromyography and morphological analysis of the operated nerve. Results. Complex stimulation including skin autotransplantation and direct action of electrical pulses on the sciatic nerve after its deferred neurorrhaphy causes restoration of bloodstream in the operated limb, promotes intensification of restoration of nerve fibers. Conclusion. Intensification of sciatic nerve regeneration after deferred neurorrhaphy in rats under the influence of complex stimulation including full-thickness skin graft autotransplantation and direct action of electrical pulses substantiates experimentally appropriateness of clinical testing of the given method for treatment of patients with peripheral nerve injuries.

The research goal is to assess on a comparative basis the effects of the infrared low-intensity laser emission with the frequency of 80 Hz and 1500 Hz on the state of microcirculation and peripheral blood circulation among 30 patients with atherosclerosis of the vessels of the lower extremities. Material and Methods. The patients were divided into 2 groups: in the 1st group (15 patients) patients received pulse infrared low-intensity laser radiation with the frequency of 80 Hz; in the 2nd group (15 patients) infrared low-intensity laser radiation with the frequency of 1500 Hz was used. Results. As a result of the conducted investigation, it was found that optimum pulse repetition rate was 80 Hz because more significant changes in the system of microcirculation and peripheral blood circulation among patients with atherosclerosis of the vessels of lower extremities were revealed. Conclusion. The optimal frequency pulse is determined to be 80 Hz.

Summary:

The aim: to increase the efficiency of treatment of patients with rapidly progressive periodontitis (RPP) using electromagnetic radiation at terahertz frequencies of molecular spectrum of radiation and absorption of nitric oxide 150,176-150,664 GHz. Material and methods. The study involved 50 patients with RPP, which according to the method of therapy were divided into 2 groups: group 1 included patients receiving conventional therapy, group 2 consisted of patients who, along with traditional therapy received EHF-therapy device "Orbit" YAKUL.941526.001. The control group consisted of 20 healthy subjects with intact periodontium. For the non-invasive study of tissue blood flow in the periodontal tissue Doppler ultrasound was used MiniMax-Doppler-Phono. The study of the microvasculature of periodontitis has been conducted. To determine the reactivity of microvascular periodontal tissue reflex functional tests on the indirect effect of the cold were performed. Results. Reductions achieved values of periodontal indices, especially important index PMA, a significant increase in the linear blood flow indices, decreased pulse pressure gradient and the index followed appropriate reduction to their cold test. Conclusion. The proposed complex therapy can accelerate the relief of inflammation in the periodontal tissues of the complex, to improve the elastic properties of blood vessels, reduce their tone and restore microcirculation in periodontal tissues.

The authors describe the method of application of underwater running machine in the treatment of patients with lumbar dorsalgia. Aim: To evaluate the effectiveness of the inclusion of underwater running machine comprehensive rehabilitation program in patients with lumbar dorsalgia to improve the local microcirculation. Material and Methods: The study included 20 patients with lumbar dorsalgia. Results: Application of course of study on an underwater running machine provides patients with lumbosacral dorsopathy pronounced effect on a vascular component. Conclusion: The study demonstrated that the use of an underwater treadmill in the complex treatment of patients with lumbosacral dorsopathy is highly effective and pathogenetically substantiated method factor in the local microcirculation and normalizes physiological static position of the spine.

The possibility of a non-invasive estimation of a condition of a vascular and extravasated component of microcir-culation in tissues in patients with perioral dermatitis has been discussed in the research. The formation of disorders of a vascular component in microcirculation in patients with perioral dermatitis has been displayed with the help of an active resonant radiometry. It records a superweak electromagnetic radio emission of biotissues refecting a condition of vascular permeability and of a transcapillary exchange of water activity.

Summary:

The research goal is to evaluate the impact of autonomic heart control indices on five-year risk of lethal outcome and development of cardiovascular disorders in patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) and to study the dynam¬ics of indices in short- and long-term period. 125 patients with AMI (42% female), ages 30 to 83 years, were enrolled in prospective observational study. Observation period lasted 6 years. Control checking was carried out in 1 week, 3 weeks, 6 months, 1 year and then annually. The dynamics of heart rate variability (HRV) and the synchronization of 0.1-Hz rhythms of heart and microcirculation (S) were studied during the first year. Outcomes proved to be death, MI, stroke. Development of acute heart failure Killip 2-4 and indices S < 20% during the first week of AMI (х2 = 10,5, p = 0,005 for the Cox model) played a significant role in evaluation of five-year risk of death after AMI. Sensitivity (Se) and specificity (Sp) of index S < 20% during the first week of AMI were 76% and 43% correspondingly. The Cox model showed that indices of HRV and 0.1-Hz rhythms synchronization were not of great value in evaluation of five-year risk of death after AMI. The article concludes that indices S < 20% in patients with AMI possess better prognostic value than common clinical parameters

Summary:

One of the commonest urological complications of radical pelvic surgery is enuresis which effects patients quality of life and causes severe physical and moral sufferings. The operational methods of enuresis treatment are unproductive and often lead to recurring and more complicated surgical interventions. All this provides research and development of new non-invasive methods of treatment and rehabilitation of patients with enuresis. Treatment of enuresis after radical operations includes a system of gymnastic exercises for pelvic floor muscles and health resort factors and results in reduction of symptoms and opens new ways of rehabilitation of this category of patients.

The effect of electromagnetic radiation of terahertz range at frequency of emission and absorption molecular spectrum of 150+0,75GHz nitric oxide on morphofunctional changes of microcirculation and tissue structure in animals in condition of acute and prolonged immobilization stress has been studied.
