The article is devoted to etymology, semantics and functioning of relevant term-concept «globalization» in the frame of Russian reality. The process of globalization is examined in the context of latest tendencies to domestic and world-wide education. The article denotes aims, objectives and prospects of professional training for medical staff.

Karl Lyudvigovich Myuphke (1868-1933) - architect-painter and constructor of Saratov medical university educational blocks and clinical center buildings. Appearance and realization of outstanding project - excellent architectural ensemble, that beautify center of City, Saratov's citizens obliged to his talent and artistic flair. In 1903 K.L. Myuphke, make projects and estimate of anatomical institute in Kazan. By that time he has already been important, certificated architect-painter, that graduated High Painter College, attached to St. Petersburg Academy of Arts.

The article presents the history of department of human anatomy at Saratov State Medical University. The department was opened in September, 1909. The stages of its development and the history of scientific school formation are highlighted in this work.

The article is focused on stages of general medical practice formation in Russia (family medicine) as the basic componentof primary health care. Experience of introduction of general medical practice structure (family medicine) at regional level is shown and the role of Saratov State Medical University in specialists' training is submitted; unsolved problems are also examined.

Stomatological faculty of SaratovState Medical University was founded in 1988. During 20 years scientific stomatologic school on the basis of all major directions was formed in our university. Greatamountof high professional scientific staff and practitioners was trained.

The paper contains a review of basic directions of scientific research of Saratov physicians in 1953-1985, foundation of new laboratories, clinics and research centres. Particular novelty of the publication resides in the data reflecting the condition of health services of Saratov virgin lands workers and materials on development of Saratov stomatology in 1960 - first half of the1980’s. Along with other sources of information, archival materials and the data of Saratov local press of those years have been used in our work.

On the basis of Russian literature data the authors studied contemporary problems of students’ healthy lifestyle forming as the main health constitutive factor.
