Possibilities of magnetic resonance tomography in identification and diagnostics of neurosyphilis forms

Year: 2011, volume 7 Issue: №3 Pages: 647-652
Heading: Neurology Article type: Original article

Organization: Saratov State Medical University
Summary:

Aim: To evaluate the possibilities of the magnetic resonance tomography (MRT) in diagnostics and identification of neurosyphilis. Materials and methods: A total of 1387 patients with different forms of documented neurosyphilis were examined to study the deficiency of neurological function. The diagnosis of neurosyphilis was confirmed by CSF-study. MRT was performed in 57 cases. Results: Magnetic resonance tomography (MRT) in 6 patients showed no pathology, 16 patients had arachnoid cystic changes and in 16 cases hydrocephaly occurred. Cerebral cortical atrophy was presented in 13 patients, in 12 cases — multifocal changes were visualized, 12 patients had white matter structural changes. Two cases required diagnostics. A 59-year-old man was hospitalized with epileptic seizure, progressive dementia and multifocal neurologic symptoms. A 40-year-old man was examined with recurring episodes of acute cere-brospinal accident and progressing cognitive disorders. Conclusion: MRT could be used in differential diagnostics of neurosyphilis imitating space-occupying lesions of cerebrum and spinal cord, tumors of central nervous system and could help to define the form of neurosyphilis

Dynamics of lower urinary tract of a fetus in intrauterine development retardation

Year: 2011, volume 7 Issue: №2 Pages: 513-517
Heading: Urology Article type: Original article
Authors: Glybochko Р.V., Chekhonatskaya M.L., Piskunova L.V.
Organization: Saratov State Medical University, First Moscow State Medical University n.a. I.M. Sechenov
Summary:

The research goal is to study and analyze the relationship between the level of intrauterine development retardation and urine dynamics indicators of lower urinary tract of a fetus with the help of ultrasonic examination. The urinary function of 89 fetuses was under study. Methods of prenatal ultrasonic cystometry and urofluometry were used to examine the urinary function of a fetus. Statistical software package (Statgraphics 6.0) was used for the statistical analyses of the results. The study has shown that decrease in bladder capacity, increase in residual urine volume and frequent urination are usually the indicators of intrauterine development retardation. The third-degree of intrauterine development retardation is characterized by decrease in diuresis and increase in duration of micturition cycle according to gestational norm

Uterus and cervix uteri changes during pregnancy period (review)

Year: 2011, volume 7 Issue: №2 Pages: 396-400
Heading: Obstetrics and Gynecology Article type: Review
Authors: Bakhmach V. О., Chekhonatskaya М. L, Yannaeva N. E., Zabozlaev F. G., Grishaeva L.A.
Organization: Saratov State Medical University, Russian Medical Academy of Post-graduate Education
Summary:

The review considers the current understanding of mechanisms that regulate uterine contractions and the nemo-dynamic changes in the cervix uteri occurring prior to and during delivery. Disorders in hemodynamic transformation of cervix uteri are the most significant causes of delivery anomalies. The criteria for ultrasound diagnostics of the degree of maturity of cervix uteri have been analyzed. Cervix blood flow parameters have been taken into account. The further research perspectives in this field of scientific problems have been stated

Diagnostic and prognostic value of analysis of heart rhythm variability in pregnant patients under estimation of fetal hypoxia evidence

Year: 2010, volume 6 Issue: №3 Pages: 540-543
Heading: Obstetrics and Gynecology Article type: Original article
Authors: Piskunova L.V., Chekhonatskaya M.L., Arenina N.Yu.
Organization: Saratov State Medical University, Saratov Clinical Hospital №3
Summary:

The correlation between fetal hypoxia degrees according to the data of cardiotocography and status of mother's vegetative nervous system as a result of heart rhythm variability research have been analyzed. It has been revealed that during the increase of fetal hypoxia severity, mother has observed activation of sympathetic section of vegetative nervous system, which has changed by vagotonia in severe and terminal states. These findings can be used both for indirect estimation of fetal hypoxia severity and for its course prognosis

Authors: P.V. Glybochko, T.G. Hmara, V.M. Popkov, M.L. Chekhonatskaya, G.N. Maslyakova, V.N. Priezsheva, A.N. Ponukalin
Organization: Saratov State Medical University, First Moscow State Medical University n.a. I.M. Sechenov
Summary:

In scientific article the research goal is the comparative analysis of data of clinical, laboratory and radiation diagnostic techniques of prostate cancer with histomorphological tumor gradation by Gleason scale. the level of prostate-specific antigen (PSA) and index PSA D depend on parameters on Gleason scale. Ultrasonic findings are correlated with histomorphological gradation of adenocarcinoma. Magnetic-resonance imaging is effective only with 8-10 points on Gleason scale. In the research 217 patients with suspecting prostate cancer have been included. As a result prostate cancer has been diagnosed in 157 (72,4%) patients, prostate adenoma - in 60 (27,6%) patients

Peculiarities of psychovegetative status of preg¬nant women with fetoplacental insufficiency in condition of delivery preparation by means of biologically feedback method

Year: 2010, volume 6 Issue: №2 Pages: 295-300

Authors: T.Yu. Kipchatova, N.Yu. Arenina, M.L. Chekhonatskaya, I.I. Sholomov
Organization: Saratov State Medical University, Saratov Clinical Hospital №3, Saratov Clinical Hospital N 8
Summary:

Research goal. To study peculiarities of psychovegetative status of pregnant women with fetoplacental insufficiency in condition of delivery preparation by means of biologically feedback method.
Materials and methods. 56 pregnant women with chronic fetoplacental insufficiency took drug therapy along with biologically feedback method (BFM), 24 patients didn't undergo seances of bioregulation. Therapeutic results were evaluated after 2-4 weeks of BFM.
Results. Probability of chronic fetoplacental insufficiency progress in the absence of BFM-therapy was 32,8%; after seances of bioregulation - 11,3%. Use of BFM-therapy for women with chronic fetoplacental insufficiency promotes normalization of psychovegetative status and decreases probability of this pathology progress by 21,5%.
Conclusion. BFM-therapy had maximum efficacy in its day-time conduct. After day-time seances 71,2% of positive results was revealed; in evening - 44,6%; in morning - 56,3%. In day-time BFM-therapy seances 11,6% of unsatisfactory results was marked; while morning and evening seances recognized 18,9% and 23,4% accordingly
