The research goal is to determine the clinical and pathogenetic efficacy of Cycloferon liniment in the combined therapy in patients with herpetic stomatitis accompanied by chronic tonsillitis. Materials and methods: Medical examination and treatment of 60 patients have been carried out. The marker of endogenous intoxication, infectious severity and immunity has been investigated. Results. It has been established that use of Cycloferon liniment in the combined therapy in patients with herpetic stomatitis accompanied by chronic tonsillitis has allowed to decrease infectious severity in par-odontal recess and evidence of local inflammation, to normalize immunity indices and reduce the level of endogenous intoxication that has been liable for acceleration of recuperation processes and lowering of frequency of stomatitis recurrences. Conclusion. The clinical efficacy of Cycloferon liniment in the therapy in patients with herpetic stomatitis accompanied by chronic tonsillitis conditioned by the decreasing of activity of local inflammatory process according to the reducing of level pro-inflammatory cytokines, infectious burden of the mouth cavity, endogenous intoxication

Organization: Saratov State Medical University
The research goal is to determine the effectiveness of prosthetic treatment of adult patients with mesial occlusion in combination with defects of dentition in lateral parts. Materials: The object of study is based on 20 patients aged 20-59 years suffered from the considered disease. Results: As a result of clinical and laboratory studies functional impairment of temporal and mandibular joints and masticatory muscles has been revealed, both before and after prosthetic treatment. Conclusion: Prosthetic replacement contributes to replacement of defects of dentition. It has been noted that the restoration of optimum function of masticatory apparatus requires the preparatory phase of rehabilitation aimed at restoring the function loss

Organization: Saratov State Medical University
The research goal is to determine the clinical pathogenetic efficacy of Cycloferon liniment in the combined therapy of periodontitis in patients with subclinical stage of HIV-infection. Medical examination and treatment of 40 patients has been carried out. It is established that use of liniment Cycloferon in the combined treatment of patients with subclinical stage of HIV-infection allows to accelerate process of normalization of lipid peroxidation parameters and antioxidant potential of blood and to decrease infection (herpes symplex virus I, Candida albicans, staphylococcus aureus) in par-odontal recess and evidence of local inflammation. The considered method of therapy has been proved to improve convalescence period and to decrease frequency of parodontitis recurrences

The purpose of the study: rationale for selecting the method of immobilization of bone fragments of the mandible in patients with fractures, combined with chronic generalized periodontitis based on clinical and cytomorphological data. Materials and methods. Were examined 60 patients with mandibular fractures in combination with chronic generalized periodontitis who underwent immobilization of the mandible in various ways. Patients underwent clinical examination and conventional cytomorphological examination of the contents of periodontal pockets. As a result, found that patients in the orthopedic treatment of the dynamics observed progression of inflammatory-destructive processes. When immobilization of the mandible with intermaxillary fixation titanium screws and the surgical method of treating inflammation at the level of periodontal pockets cropped. Conclusion. Given the smaller number of inflammatory complications of mandibular fractures in patients who have used the maxillary fixation screws in titanium, this is the best

The aim of the study was to evaluate the quality of life of patients with dentition defects, not substituted by orthopedic constructions, accompanied by periodontal diseases on the basis of comprehensive analysis and to determine the most appropriate method of treatment of this pathology. The study included surveys of patients with dentition defects and periodontal diseases with the help of dental Quality of Life Questionnaire Oral Health Impact Profile-14 (OHIP-14) before and after treatment. Quality of life of patients after implantation of teeth became equivalent to healthy individuals defining the benefits of this treatment before the prosthesis with fixed prosthetic constructions. The use of dental questionnaires of quality of life, such as, OHIP-14 in the treatment of oral diseases helped optimize the approach to the choice of therapy and to predict the advantages of treatment and patient attitude to them

Organization: Saratov State Medical University, Saratov City Clinical Hospital № 2
The aim of the research is to improve interpersonal interactions in the doctor-patient relationship by developing recommendations for a differentiated deontological approach to patients with characteristic personality traits. In conducting in-depth clinical and psychological study (Leonhard questionnaire and clinical interview) characteristic features of patients were identified and allowed to develop recommendations that enhance the interaction in the doctor — patient relationship. Correct deontological approach using our developed recommendations will facilitate understanding of dentist behaviour algorithms by the patient and helps improve interpersonal interactions in the doctor-patient relationship

Heading: Stomatology Article type: Original article
Authors: Oseeva А.О., Soboleva L.A., Bulkina N.V., Shuldyakov A. A.
Organization: Saratov State Medical University
The article presents the study of formation mechanisms and periodontitis course in patients with subclinical stage of HIV-infection. The examination of 45 patients has enabled the division of patients into three basic groups: patients with periodontitis and HIV-infection; patients with periodontitis; and HIV patients without periodontitis. It has been determined that the patients with periodontitis and subclinical HIV-infection have developed local inflammatory reaction with infection, activation of anti-inflammatory cytokines in parodontal recess fluid. It has been proved that the causative factor of frequent and durable relapses in parodontal pathology with clinical HIV-infection was the development of pathologic process with endotoxicosis syndrome and imbalance of lipid peroxidation and antioxidant system

Application of immunomodulatorGepon in treatment of aggressive periodontitis provides the normalization of cyto-kine balance of periodontal pockets exudate by raising the level of anti-inflammatory cytokines (IL-1(3, IL-8, IFN-y) and osteoprotegerin, indirectly confirming the improvement of bones of alveolar processes of jaws, as well as by significant decrease in the concentration of proinflammatory cytokines (IL-4, IL-10) and transforming growth factor (3. Gepon application improves the efficiency of preoperative period, accelerates postoperative rehabilitation of patients and helps achieve remission period up to 6 months in 71 % of cases, which is in 28% higher than in patients receiving traditional treatment

Organization: Saratov State Medical University
To determine the clinical pathogenetic efficacy of Mexidol in the combined therapy of parodontitis in patients with peptic ulcers medical examination and treatment of 296 patients were carried out. Endoscopic, histological and im-munohistochemical studies were performed in all examined patients. Investigation of interleukin -6, -10, -18 in oral cavity by immunofermental analysis was conducted. It was established that Mexidol use in the combined treatment of patients with periodontitis and peptic ulcer allowed to decrease evidence of local inflammation, to normalize processes of neurohumoral and cytokine regulation, that provided acceleration of recovery processes, decrease in periodontitis recurrences. The statistical programs Exsel и Statistica 6.0 were used in the study. The subsequent analysis of the received data was carried out
