For investigation of urine microflora in mice we offered to use paper disks. This new method was tested in finding of infection on the mice (CBAxC57BI) F1 after total body v-irradiation at 6,5 Gr (LD80/30). The paper disks were impreg-
nated with one drop of urine, placed on surface Endo media, incubate in thermostat (37°C) in during 1-2 days and numbers of positive crops (Esch. coli, Proteus, Enterococcus, were indicated. It was shown that after irradiation the numbers of positive probes increased. The test displayed that the method is easy, economic and demonstrative.

Now electroshock devices are used as a civilian weapon for self-defense and as a non-lethal weapon in the police. Therefore, medical-biological safety testing of electroshock devices should be carried out. Development of hygienic regulations is relevant as well. The aim of our work is the study of the biological effects of pulsed current depending on the pulse frequency, pulse amplitude and exposure. Material and methods. We compared the biological effects with varying frequency of the current pulse (50, 400, and 600 Hz) with varying exposure (0.25, 0.5 and 1.0 s.). Average pulse power in all cases was equal, and the pulse energy was different. Experiments were performed on rabbits. Biological effects of stun device were evaluated by clinical lesions, as well as electrophysiological parameters: ECG and electro-pneumogram. Results. Response was observed only in the current period (0.25 s, 0.5 s or 1 s) was disorientation, convulsing, dyspnea. The degree of severity of the reaction was determined by a combination of pulse repetition frequency and exposure. Immediately after switching off the current noted vocalization, decreased heart rate and breathing. Heart rate and respiration in 5 minutes back to the normal values. Conclusions. In the results of the research has got a comparative classification organism's response (based on a points system) as well as the characteristic of the biological response of the individual systems of the body on the parameters of the current pulse.

Assessment of committed effective dose and the uncertainty of its calculation for different variants of 3H intake: 1) homogeneous and chronic, 2) single, is considered by the example of internal tritium doses that workers had got. It has been shown that in case of conditional measurement of 3H concentration in urine sample the estimate of tritium dose may vary within two orders of magnitude in the 95% confidence interval. The most effective way to reduce the range of uncertainty of dose estimation is to replace a quarterly monitoring with a monthly one. It leads to reduction of the range of uncertainty by one order of magnitude.

Accounting of 131l decomposition under retrospective assessment of its deposition on the basis of determination of 129l deposition

It is known that after the Chernobyl accident on the territories with deposition density of 137Cs less than 3.7x10" Bq/kg insufficient number of direct thyroid measurements for the public and a limited number of the spectrometrical measurements of 131l in soil were conducted. At the same time, in the case of availability of representative number of the estimates of the 131l ground deposition density for the territory under consideration, reliable estimates of the average dose to the thyroid for the public in a given settlement can be derived, for example for an adult population with further assessment of the doses for the residents of the other age-groups. In this regard, reconstruction of the ground deposition density of 131l (during the significant period of thyroid dose formation) on the basis of the determination of the ground deposition density of 129l is very helpful for reconstruction of the estimates of the thyroid dose for the residents of the settlements, for which the estimates of the 137Cs deposition density are available. However, to find a solution was necessary to resolve a specific but important task that distinguished from 129l (half-life is equal to 1.6x107 years) the level of 131l (half-life is equal to 8.04 days) was substantially decreasing during the period of thyroid dose formation. The
given article aimed a justification of approaches to account of radioactive decay of 131l in the course of determination of its ground deposition density on the basis of determination of the ground deposition density of 129l at the late stage after the accident.

The shift in priorities in the system of Russian education, transition from reproductive learning to learner-centered approach, incorporation of competency-based approach into the educational standards of "the third generation" require the training of a competitive specialist with professional competency. Types of competencies are characterized. The competency presenting certain requirements is studied. The mastering of the requirements will enable to train qualified specialists. The quality of education directly influences the level of professional activity through the training of specialists and the development of sciences. Competence-oriented modules approach and adherence to pedagogic requirements in education enables the efficacy of professional training. Innovative techniques and approaches to organizing educational process in their active form stimulate the process of studying.

Heading: Stomatology Article type: Short message
Authors: Mozgovaya L.A., Zadorina I.I., Bykova L.P., Godovalov A.P.
Organization: Perm State University of Medicine n.a. academician E.A. Vagner
Objective: to study the qualitative and quantitative composition of microflora in the root canals of teeth in the treatment of patients with chronic apical periodontitis. Material and methods. The efficiency of the treatment of chronic apical periodontitis was determined in two groups of patients: the main group 1 (18 persons) and comparison group 2 (11 persons), by examining culture-biochemical properties of the contents of the teeth root canal (RC), the concentration of total protein and leukocyte. For endodontic treatment in group 1 the «Radent» was used and in group 2 was used «Krezodent.» Results. In group 1 suppression of anaerobic microorganisms was found and the reduce of occurrence of streptococci, the growth of Candida, Enterobacterium and Corynebacterium did not detected. In group 2, rising Candida, pyogenic streptococci, staphylococci and anaerobic microorganisms was found. The concentration of total protein and white blood cells in teeth RC contents in groupl decreased significantly and in group 2 contents did not change. Conclusion. The pathological process in the periodontium under chronic apical periodontitis supported predominantly coccal and anaerobic microflora, with exacerbation prevail streptococci, Neisseria and enterobacteria. Inflammation of the periodont supports leukocyte cells that synthesize the protein molecules. «Radent» has a strong antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effect.
