Objective. We investigated the diagnostic role of urinary IL-1b, IL-6 and IL-8 in children with different etiologic and pathogenic variants of chronic pyelonephritis. Material and methods. 132 patients (92 girls and 40 boys) aged 1-17 with chronic pyelonephritis were examined: 18 patients with primary pyelonephritis (I group); 114 with secondary pyelonephritis (II group); 30 patients without kidney disease completed control group. Results. Our data showed increasing level of all mediators of inflammation, especially in acute stage of pyelonephritis and with 10-years anamnesis. We suggested the role of IL-6 in nephrosclerosis. Conclusion. The content of urinary IL-1b, IL-6 reflects the level of kidney inflammation, and IL-8 — the degree of inflammation. We conclude that the level of urinary IL-8 could be a new indicator for nephrosclerosis

The aim of the work is to develop an algorithm of differentiated therapy in children with PNE. 234 children aged 5-15 years were studied. Results of treatment of children with primary nocturnal enuresis using the traditional therapeutic scheme and the algorithm of differential therapy based on identification of individual pathology were analyzed. The best clinical effect (recovery— in 73,1%, improvement— in 19,4% of cases) was obtained in children undergone the complex of recommended measures: psychological consultation, rational and family psychotherapy, medication correction, physical and physiotherapy, alarm-monitoring; the complex was used differentially, i.e. depending on the identified pathology. In conclusion the article stated that individual treatment program with the obligatory inclusion of alarm-control for child with PNE should be selected after performing the recommended set of diagnostic measures

Chronic hepatites for today remain the important problem with children among children»s infections not only in our country, but also all over the world. In clause the immune factors influencing on патогенез of a chronic virus hepatites В at children are considered. The purpose of our job was studying interrelation cytolysis and a structure of cytokines at children sick of a chronic virus hepatites В Century. Material, methods. We have carried out research a structure of cytokines at 87 children with CVH В in the age of from 7 months till 18 years. Clinical supervision and researches with application general-clinical, biochemical, tool, immunological the methods have been spent, allowing to receive the fullest and objective information on the observable children sick CVH. Results. If to compare parameters cytokines in replicative and integration phases at a chronic virus hepatites В at children it is necessary to note, that in replica-tive a phase the basic parameters are aggravated. The conclusion. It speaks that in replicative phase CVH disease more hard proceeds. The deviation of level FNO-a, IL-1, IL-10 cytokines in whey of blood of patients with CVH В from normal parameters is the indicator of gravity of inflammatory process

Peculiarities of cardiac hemodynamics and functional state of left ventricular myocardium in teenagers with connective heart tissue dysplasia
Heading: Pediatrics Article type: Original article
Authors: Makhmudova F.M.
Organization: Azerbaijan Medical University
The aim of investigation is to study heart hemodynamics in teenagers with connective tissue dysplasia of heart (CTDH). 35 patients ages 12 to 15 years with CTDH have been observed: Group I (n=14) are the patients with mitral valve prolapse (MVP) without mitral regurgitation (MR) and myxomatous degeneration(MD) or isolated minor heart abnormalities (MHA), Group II (n=11)are patients with MVP and MR in combination with 1 or2 MHA, and Group III (n=10) are patients with MVP and mixoid degeneration (MD) in combination with 2 or more MHA. The control group consisted of 15 patients of the same age without MHA. All the children passed Doppler and echocardiography. According to the results significant changes of cardiohemodynamic indices in patients of Group I were not observed. The changes of size and volume indices of the left ventricle (LV), increase in wall thickness and diastolic dysfunction of the LV were observed in Group II. The significant changes of systolic function of left ventricular myocardium were observed in Group III. The study comes to the conclusion that teenagers with CTDH have definite changes of heart hemodynamics and functional state of left ventricular myocardium. These changes depend on mitral regurgitation, myxomatous degeneration and MHA combination
