THE SIGNIFICANCE OF SUBCLINICAL HYPOTHYROIDISM AND ITS SUBSTITUTIONAL THERAPY INFLUENCE ON DEVELOPMENT OF CARDIOVASCULAR PATHOLOGY

Year: 2008, volume 4 Issue: №4 Pages: 127-131
Heading: Reviews Article type: Review
Authors: V.V. Samitin, T.I. Rodionova
Organization: Saratov State Medical University
Summary:

This review presents the modern data concerning influence ofsubclinicalhypothyroidism on morphology and functional state of myocardium and arterial vessels, traditional and "new" cardiovascular risk factors. The riskof clinically significant complications (cardiovascular diseases, disorders ofhemostasis and changes in lipidexchange) connected with subclinical hypothyroidism is under research. The data on the effects of subclinical hypothyroidism substitutional therapy are highlighted in the work

COMPLEX RENAL MASSES DIAGNOSTICS

Year: 2008, volume 4 Issue: №1 Pages: 20-25
Heading: Reviews Article type: Review
Authors: P.V. Glybochko, O.V. Masina, M.L. Chekhonatskaya
Organization: Saratov State Medical University
Summary:

Saratov State Medical University Research Institute for Fundamental and Clinical Urology Nephrology
Renal masses are widespread pathology with high mortality and morbidity rate. Early diagnostics is a possibility of nephron-spearing surgery. Ultrasonography is screening imaging modality for renal lesions, Doppler investigation provide possibility for vascularity of these masses evaluation. CT with and without contrast enhancement can be used as a marker of malignancy. Magnetic resonance imaging has been proposed for the evaluation of renal lesions, especially in cases in which ultrasonography (US) and/or CT results are not definitive.

PSORIASIS AS SYSTEM PATHOLOGY

Year: 2008, volume 4 Issue: №1 Pages: 13-20
Heading: Reviews Article type: Review
Authors: A.L. Bakulev, Yu.V. Shagova, I.V. Kozlova
Organization: Saratov State Medical University
Summary:

Psoriasis is one of the most widespread chronic dermatoses which 1-5% of the population of the planet suffers. They consider psoriasis as a systemic disease with not only lesions of skin, but also joints and visceral involvement, as «psoriasis disease». In the review there are discussed pathogenesis of psoriasis, submitted infectious-immunological, genetic, metabolic and neuroendocrine concepts. Changes of digestive, cardiovascular, nervous, hepatobiliary, urinary systems and suppoting-motive apparatus of patients with psoriasis are examined. Methods of treatment of psoriasis are presented. Immunosuppressive and anticytokine therapy is discussed.

Heading: Reviews Article type: Review
Authors: T.I. Rodionova, V.V. Samitin
Organization: Saratov State Medical University

LIPOFUSCIN ROLE IN INVOLUTIVE AND PATHOLOGICAL PROCESSES

Year: 2009, volume 5 Issue: №1 Pages: 11-115
Heading: Reviews Article type: Review
Authors: A.A. Efimov, Maslyakova
Organization: Saratov State Medical University
Summary:

The modern data on the lipofuscin role in the processes of intracellular exchange have been analysed in the review. The ambiguity of the interpretation of lipofuscin accumulation according to its importance in involutive and pathological processes has been considered in the study. Nowadays there are no data of morphological character, which allow objectively (in a digital equivalent) to find out the solution of the question about the functional importance of lipofuscin during the ageing of an organism or development of pathological processes.
