Summary:

Methods of macromicroscopy and morphometry have been used to study sphincter zone glands by 54 total preparations of a urinary bladder received from corpses of people of different ages without any pathology of organs of urine-genital apparatus. The glands were painted by 0, 05% methylene blue solution and were investigated with the application of stereomicroscopic-binocular microscope MBS-9. Microscopic sections of sphincter zone glands in the thickness 5-7 microns were stained with hematoxylin-eosin, azure-2-eosin and with hematoxylin-picrofucsin by Van-Gizon technique. Sphincter zone glands are arranged firmly without dependence on age, length and width of initial department of glands of these zones. In postnatal ontogenesis size indices of sphincter zone glands have been essentially changed. These indices are equal for left and right ureter sphincter zone glands

Peculiarities of cardiac hemodynamics and functional state of left ventricular myocardium in teenagers with connective heart tissue dysplasia

Year: 2011, volume 7 Issue: №1 Pages: 119-123
Heading: Pediatrics Article type: Original article
Authors: Makhmudova F.M.
Organization: Azerbaijan Medical University
Summary:

The aim of investigation is to study heart hemodynamics in teenagers with connective tissue dysplasia of heart (CTDH). 35 patients ages 12 to 15 years with CTDH have been observed: Group I (n=14) are the patients with mitral valve prolapse (MVP) without mitral regurgitation (MR) and myxomatous degeneration(MD) or isolated minor heart abnormalities (MHA), Group II (n=11)are patients with MVP and MR in combination with 1 or2 MHA, and Group III (n=10) are patients with MVP and mixoid degeneration (MD) in combination with 2 or more MHA. The control group consisted of 15 patients of the same age without MHA. All the children passed Doppler and echocardiography. According to the results significant changes of cardiohemodynamic indices in patients of Group I were not observed. The changes of size and volume indices of the left ventricle (LV), increase in wall thickness and diastolic dysfunction of the LV were observed in Group II. The significant changes of systolic function of left ventricular myocardium were observed in Group III. The study comes to the conclusion that teenagers with CTDH have definite changes of heart hemodynamics and functional state of left ventricular myocardium. These changes depend on mitral regurgitation, myxomatous degeneration and MHA combination

Etiological structure of bacterial meningitis in children

Year: 2010, volume 6 Issue: №4 Pages: 780-782
Heading: Infectious Diseases Article type: Original article
Authors: K.A. Jafarova
Organization: Azerbaijan Medical University
Summary:

The microbiological investigation of 14 year old children with meningeal and infectious syndromes was held. Bacterial meningitis was diagnosed in 90,9% patients. The meningococcal meningitis was diagnosed in 18 (30%) patients, H. influenzae meningitis - in 9 (15%), S. pneumoniae - in 8 (13,3%). Meningitis as a monoinfection was revealed in 85% cases; mixed infection - in 15%. In 28 patients the etiologic agents of disease were gram-negative, in 16 children -gram-positive bacteria. Causative agents of bacterial meningitis were more resistant to penicillin, ampicillin and eritromycin

The immunohistochemical peculiarities of blood vessels during different forms of cancer of mammary glands

Year: 2010, volume 6 Issue: №4 Pages: 752-754
Heading: Macro- and Micromorphology Article type: Original article
Authors: Khidirov E.A.
Organization: Azerbaijan Medical University
Summary:

The aim of this investigation was to study the peculiarities of the cancer of the mammary gland depending on its histogenesis, histological form, character of growth, degree of malignancy and stages of development on the postop-erational material. As a research material 72 cases of the cancer of the mammary gland have served. The level of the expression of marker CD 31 depending on the degree, zone and form of the cancer of the mammary gland was studied by immunohystochemical method.
The results of the research have shown that the peripheric zone of the cancer intensively supplied by the vessels of type of capillaries, in comparison with the central zone there is not many gigantic capillaries of type of sinusoids surrounded with tumoral cells, but is a lot of cells marked an angiogenesis marker - CD 31. Number of marker CD 31 in the cancer tissue changes depending on degree of differentiation of the tumoral tissue, it increases according to degree of malignancy of cancer. For example, monoclon CD 31 in the tumoral cells more intensively in medullary forms of the cancer than in tubular forms

Amount of cells of diffuse lymphoid tissue of uterine tube in women of different age groups

Year: 2010, volume 6 Issue: №2 Pages: 293-295
Heading: Obstetrics and Gynecology Article type: Original article
Authors: S.V. Shadlinskaya
Organization: Azerbaijan Medical University
Summary:

The aim of the investigation was to study the amount of lymphoid cells of diffuse lymphoid tissue of uterine tube in women of different age.
The transverse sections of one-third of each part of uterine tube from 116 women (from newborn to senile age) were studied. The sections were colored by gematoksilin-eosin, by van Gizon, by Brashe, azur-2-eosine, by Qrimelius.
The amount of lymphoid cells of diffuse lymphoid tissue of uterine tube increased till the age of 16-20 and remained at high level further on till the age of 35. The quantity of lymphoid cells of diffuse lymphoid tissue of uterine tube changed according to the age and localization throughout the organ. The presence of diffused lymphoid tissue of uterine tube depended on the state of reproductive function of female organism. In the phase of desquamation there was minimal quantity of lymphoid tissue and in the phase of secretion there was maximal quantity of lymphoid tissue

The morphological peculiarities of the glands of human trachea at the bifurcation of this organ

Year: 2010, volume 6 Issue: №2 Pages: 242-244
Heading: Macro- and Micromorphology Article type: Original article
Authors: B.M. Guseynov
Organization: Azerbaijan Medical University
Summary:

The aim of the investigation was to study the structurae peculiarites of the glands of human trachea at its bifurcation.
The glands of te trachea from 52 people of different age and sex were studied by macro-mocroscopic methods. At the total preparationsof the trachea the multi cellular cells were coloured by R.D. Sinelnikov's method.
The localization of the numerous glands at the cartilaginous and membranaceus walls of the trachea is different. Along the cartilaginous wall of the trachea the glands are arranged in one layer, but at the membranaceus wall- in thre layers. At the cartilaginous wall the initial parts of the glands are located at submucosa and fibrous membrane, at the membranaceus wall- at all layers of the trachea and principal bronchi. At the bifurcation of the trachea the initial parts of the glands from the glandular muff. The compactness of the localization of mouth of the glands is more at the bifurca¬tion of trachea than near this region

Sexual peculiarities of lymphoid formations in trachea and bronchi of individuals of different age groups

Year: 2010, volume 6 Issue: №1 Pages: 028-031
Heading: Macro- and Micromorphology Article type: Original article
Authors: V.B. Shadlinsky, B.M. Guseynov
Organization: Azerbaijan Medical University
Summary:

The aim of the investigation is to study the sexual peculiarities of lymphoid formations in trachea and bronchi of individuals of different age groups.
The lymphoid apparatus of trachea and bronchi has been studied. taken from 58 humans of different age and both sexes, died or perished in accidents without pathologies of respiratory and immune systems was studied via microscopical methods. The trachea and bronchi principalis were fixated in 10% solution of formalin and in water Karnua. The longitudinal and transverse pieces were taken from cartilaginous and membranaceus walls of the upper, middle and lower one-third of the trachea and each bronchi principalis. These cuts 5-7 urn in thickness were stained with hematoxylin-eosin, azure-2-eosin, with hematoxylin-picrofucsin by Van-Gizon technique, with methyl green-pironin by Brashe technique (after fixation in water Karnua) and reaction by Grymelius.
The results of the research showed that during postnatal ontogenesis the sex related differences are observed in cell composition of the trachea and bronchi princiapalis' lymphoid structures. In adolescent, juvenile and 1-st mature period in females the percentage of small and big lymphocytes, cells with mitosis, plasma cells is more, but the percentage of medium lymphocytes and cells with degeneration is less than in males
