The effectiveness of different surgical techniques in patients with cystic lesions of spleen is considered in the article. The results of treatment of 9 children aged from 9 to 16 years old during the period from 1998 till 2009 have been analyzed. The examination included ultrasound computerized tomography and MRT Differential diagnosis was made between lymphangiomas, hemangiomas and true cystic growths of spleen. The proper diagnosis was made after his-tological examination. The invasive procedures preserving spleen were preferred. But despite the surgical technique the possibility of cystic recurrence was remained. Percutaneus puncture with draining and long term sclerotherapy performed by laparoscopy control was considered to be a safe procedure

Causative agents of urinary tracts infection in children with obstructive uropathy

167 children with different variants of congenital obstructions of urinary tracts were examined; the causative agents of urinary tracts infections were analyzed in all the cases. The changes of the cytokines levels were determined in those patients which had the more often found causative agents in the analyses. It was mentioned that of the total patients with obstructive uropathy (OU) the fifth part in the absence of bacteriuria had a pathogen in biopsy material (BM) of urinary tracts. In fourth part of cases microorganisms that were detected in BM and urine did not matched. The changes of cytokines levels in urine did not have any species-specific dependence on causative agent

Comparative analysis of perioperative period in children with different corrections of vesicoureteral reflux

The article presents the analysis of perioperative period of 52 children with different variants of correction of vesicoureteral reflux. It was based on acute-phase proteins amount, cytokines level and adhesion molecules content in blood and urine. the study revealed that if the correction is performed during the latent phase of chronic obstructive pyelonephritis the preference should be given to the endoscopic operations as they do not lead to acute inflammatory process in the urinary tract

Criteria of Clinical Diagnostics and Choice of Treatment Strategy in Children with Disoders of Sexual Development

The number of patients with disorders of sexual development (DSD) has increased in 3.54 times during the last three years. The aim is to define the structure of intersexual disorders in children from Saratov, criteria of gender assignment and surgical approach. During the period of three years (from 2006 till 2008) 58 children with DSD aged 0 - 17 were examined. Assessment of external genitals, cytogenetic investigation, hormonal tests were performed. Imaging studies included ultrasonography, cystourethroscopy and laparoscopy with histological investigation. Considering the data DSD in children from Saratov compose sex chromosome DSD - 21,4 %, Gonadal dysgenesis - 26,2%, ovotesticular DSD - 2,3%, 46,ХХ testicular DSD - 2,3 %, complete androgen insensitivity syndrome - 4,7%. The criteria of gender assignment and surgical approach have been described in the article. The research concludes that the infants with intersexual genitels should be examined in special care centers by multispecialty team. It is nessesary to perform the karyotype test and ultrasonic study in newborns to detect the genetic and gonadal gender of the child

The material consisted of 42 young men from 18 to 28 years who had been treated during childhood for unilateral cryptorchidism. Semen analysis disclosed azoospermia of plogospermia in 26 and normospermia in 16. Erection fail was present in 1. Endocrinological findings were abnormal in 2. Ultrasonography study of the surgically descended testes showed that the testicular tissue was abnormal in mast cases.

ince 2005 in pediatric surgery department were treated 10 children at the age 9-14 years with obesity (4) in a combination with appendicitis that underwent laparoscopic appendectomy. The authors did the comparative analysis of medical-diagnostic stages between traditional and laparoscopic appendectomy at the children with obesity and appendicitis without complication.

n this report was observed theory mesenchymal deficiency, as one of cause beginning of cryptorchidism. 70 children ranging in age from 2 to 13 were examined. The results of clinico-biochemical and morphological investigation gave an opportunity to consider the anomality of development of testicule as the result of the plastically processes pathology in structure of mesenchimal disorders in cryptorchidism.

he mathematical correlation between recurrent of multimodular goiter and morfological and geterogenic nodular, the damage own ore more anatomic site of thyroid, and volume of resection of thyroid was found. Suggested model of the surgical treatment allow identifying the volume of thyroid resection in different forms of multimodular goiter and decreasing risk of the recurrent disease to minimum.
