Summary:

Aim. This study was conducted to establish levels of knowledge in the general population, and also to determine the impact of educational sessions on stroke knowledge. Material and Methods. Two groups (2014 and 2017 years) completed a stroke knowledge questionnaire (435 respondents). Results. Overall, most of respondents could list 2 or more risk factors, but only 50% in 2014 could list 3 warning signs. More than 80% would call emergency number in response to stroke, but only 25% had heard of thrombolytic therapy. Overall stroke knowledge scores decreased in 2017 despite the public awareness in the media. Conclusion. Currently the knowledge of stroke risk factors, warning signs, and treatment is poor in Saratov. Our study demonstrates that more educational campaigns should be conducted for improve knowledge of stroke symptoms, and therapy.

In the group of patients participating in the telemedicine program, a decrease of morbidity with temporary disability on average by 58.8%; not registered any case of transfer of disease in the subsequent stage; there was a decline in hospitalization rates about of hypertension is 17.4%, and a reduction in the level of removal from flight among workers in locomotive service because of high blood pressure and excessive heart rate from 7.9 to 3.6 cases per 10000 examinations. Conclusion. Implementation of "home" telemedicine monitoring of blood pressure, heart rate, pulse rate, regularity of taking medications, virtual communication between doctor and patient, a visit to the online "Schools patient for the prevention of cardiovascular diseases" demonstrated sufficient efficacy. Tele-health program for the prevention of cardiovascular disease in patients from high risk group and patients with arterial hypertension help to teach patients to correct risk factors and to control their disease.

Material and Methods. Anonymous questioning of 358 officers in different time periods, including the last year of service before departure, with the subsequent processing of the data using the statistical program SPSS. Results. It was established that the highest indicators of quality of life were from the military in reserve (RET.) more than 3 years, and the lowest from the military a year before the departure from the Armed Forces and in the first year after the departure. Conclusion. The authors proposed a step system of health and social care for members of the military reserve (retired) and an algorithm for its implementation, including regulations of interdepartmental interaction and integration of all organizations providing medical care.

Risk factors for the development of necrotizing enterocolitis in newborns

Year: 2017, volume 13 Issue: №3 Pages: 495-498
Heading: Pediatrics Article type: Original article
Authors: Mezhlunyan А.А., Panina O.S., Pozgaleva N.V.
Organization: Saratov State Medical University
Summary:

The goal is to analyze the various risk factors for necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) in newborn infants of different gestational age. Material and Methods. A retrospective analysis of medical records (forms 096/y, 097/y)for2011-2015 was conducted. 20 pairs "mother— newborn". The criterion for inclusion in the analysis was the presence in the diagnosis of necrotizing enterocolitis. A method of descriptive statistics was used to interpret the data. The calculation of intensive and extensive indicators is carried out. Results. When analyzing the results, it was found that all patients had a combination of processes leading to spasm of the vessels of the intestinal wall, which led to mucosal ischemia and necrosis, as well as intestinal contamination with pathogenic microflora, which caused damage to the intestinal mucosa. Conclusion. To prevent the development of NEC, it is necessary to take into account the presence of newborn risk factors for the development of the disease, this requires an analysis of the current course of pregnancy, childbirth and the early neonatal period.

Sclerotic disease, integrative diagnosis, chronic forms and treatment of diseases

Year: 2015, volume 11 Issue: №3 Pages: 268-274
Heading: Internal Diseases Article type: Review
Authors: Kats Ya.A., Parkhoniuk E.V., Skriptsova S.A.
Organization: Saratov State Medical University
Summary:

The aim of the article is to determine the importance of an integrative approach to identify and analyze the phases or stages of the example of chronic sclerotic disease (CSD). The proposed concept of CSD is to use the diagnostic methods before sclerotic period, based on an analysis of indicators of intensity of the functional systems responsible for collagen formation and collagen lysis taking into account the potential of genetically caused features of sclerosis. Thus, special attention is paid to pre-disease stage including the history and molecular genetic studies which predict the nature of the possible diseases and determine the risk of formation of CSD. The proposed methodology and techniques, as well as obtained with their help data define the possibility of risk groups identification, the direction and volume of the survey.
