Year: 2012, volume 8 Issue: №1 Pages: 009-014
Heading: Macro- and Micromorphology Article type: Original article
Authors: Nikolenko V.N., Fomkina О.A., Nekljudov Ju.A., Alekseev Ju.D.
Organization: Saratov State Medical University
Summary:

The research goal is to study general strength, breaking point, Young's modulus (tensile modulus), absolute and relative strain of medial cerebral artery. Materials end methods. External diameter of medial cerebral artery, thickness of its wall and diameter of a lumen have been measured under the microscope on cross-section edges. In total 200 arteries (144 — from corpses of men, 56 — from corpses of women) received not later than 16 hours after autopsy of adults have been investigated. Results. Lethal cases resulted from acute or chronic vascular cerebral pathology have not been included in the study. Authentic predominance of wall thickness (14,8%), lumen diameter (50,3%) and general wall strength (13,8%) has been revealed statistically in men. Bilateral differences of parameters have been expressed by 1,0% (external diameter and wall thickness of an artery) to 10,0% (Young's modulus) and have been determined as statistically insignificant (p>0,05). Age aspect has shown intensity of morphological characteristics of medial cerebral artery. In conclusion it is worth while noting that after the age of 35 wall strength and resistance to strain of medial cerebral artery are authentically diminished; the artery becomes less rigid. Capability to elongation remains constant but after the age of 75 it decreases

Morphometric substantiation of a fixation method choice at surgical correction of spondylolisthesis

Summary:

The purpose was to reveal patterns of morphometric characteristics variability of lumbar vertebrae and sacrum for a choice of more adequate selection of standard sizes and introduction orientation of corrigent metalware at surgical treatment of spondylolisthesis. Preparations of lumbar vertebrae and sacrum of 60 skeletons, 110 Kt-grams of men and women of the first and second periods of mature age without visible pathology of a backbone and 300 Kt-grams of patients with spondylolisthesis. The data on age variability and sexual dimorphism of lumbar vertebrae and sacrum were obtained. The analysis of results of surgical treatment of 288 patients with spondylolisthesis during 1995-2008 was carried out. 160 patients were managed with preoperative planning, taking into account morphometric characteristics of vertebrae and sacrum since 2003. It is necessary to install and arrange metalware at reduction taking into account features of back structures and forward basic complex of lumbar vertebrae and sacrum; that allows to receive adequate decompression of neurovascu-lar structures in 85-90% cases, reliable correction and stabilization of damaged lumbosacral segments

Individual and typological morphogeometric features of the proximal of femoral bone

Year: 2010, volume 6 Issue: №1 Pages: 036-039
Heading: Macro- and Micromorphology Article type: Original article
Authors: V.N. Nikolenko, О.А. Fomicheva, R.S. Zhmurko, N.M. Yakovlev, O.S. Bessonova, S.V. Pavlov
Organization: Saratov State Medical University
Summary:

The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between the structure of the proximal femur and its individual anatomical variability, namely the size of the femoral neck and the angle of torsion. These results suggest that the mor-phogeometry of the femur (the femoral neck axis length and width of the neck) may influence on the risk of fractures of the femoral neck in people of different body type

Diagnostics And Treatment Of Patients With Blood Circulation Insufficiency In Vertebrobasilar Bed

Year: 2009, volume 5 Issue: №4 Pages: 629-634
Heading: Surgery Article type: Original article
Authors: R.Z. Losev, V.N. Nikolenko, I.I. Sholomov, A.M. Khachatryan
Organization: Saratov State Medical University
Summary:

For improvement of treatment results of patients with vertebrobasilar insufficiency we have analyzed data of medical examination and treatment of 182 patients stayed in clinics of Hospital Surgery and Nervous System Diseases from the 1st of January of 2005 till the 30th of June of 2009. Method of screening diagnostics, quantitative and qualitative blood flow estimation by means of Doppler ultrasonic investigation and angiography have been performed. The cause of blood circulation insufficiency in the vertebrobasilar bed at 87 patients was vertebral artery syndrome and in 95 cases there were the significant hemodynamical damages of blood flow in aorta arch branches and intracranial arteries. The neuroangiotropic therapy has been made for all patients, but the clinical improvement period was short in most cases, more prolonged effect was observed in addition of conservative therapy with plasmapheresis by indications. In the complex treatment of patients with vertebrobasilar insufficiency accompanied by degenerative diseases of spine chemical sympathectomy of vertebral artery in the III segment in the form of procaine and spirit-procaine blockades was made in 116 and 69 cases accordingly. The surgical sympathectomy was made in 15 patients. The surgical operations were made in 62 of 95 patients with significant hemodynamic pathology of blood flow in the vertebrobasilar region. In most cases isolative and combinative reconstructive surgery on carotid arteries was carried out. It played a significant role in blood flow correction. Favorable postoperative results were observed in most cases (93, 5%)

Age-Specific And Sexual Variability Of Morphological And Biomechanical Parameters Of Anterior Cerebral Artery Of Adults

Year: 2009, volume 5 Issue: №4 Pages: 482-485
Heading: Macro- and Micromorphology Article type: Original article
Authors: V.N. Nikolenko, О.А. Fomkina, I.V. Kirillova, D.V. Ivanov
Organization: Saratov State Medical University, Saratov State University named after N.G. Chernyshevsky
Summary:

In the experiment on monoaxonic longitudinal distension by tensile-testing machine Tira Test 28005 (Germany) with loading unit - 100 N the general rigidity, breaking point and relative lengthening of anterior cerebral artery (АСА) of adult people have been under study. Under the microscope on transverse sections the external diameter of the artery, its wall thickness have been measured and diameter of lumen have been calculated. In total 228 АСА (132 - from corpses of men, 92-from corpses of women) have been investigated. They have been received in 16 hours after autopsy of adult people whose cause of death has not been connected with vascular cerebral pathology.
It has been revealed that right АСА is longer and narrower than left one. ACA's wall length and thickness predominate in men in comparison with women in average of 5,4 - 13,0%. With years АСА lengthens, its external diameter increases. Biomechanical parameters of ACA's wall do not have any authentic sexual differences, they don't depend on the side of the arterial ring. With years the rigidity of АСА decreases, especially in middle age. In old age its general rigidity increases. It is connected with the increase of ACA's wall thickness. The ability of АСА to lengthening doesn't depend upon age. Experimental findings may be used as criteria of age standard of morphological and biomechanical parameters of АСА

DYSSYMMETRY OF PROOFS RESILIENT PROPERTIES OF INTRACRENIAL PERTS OF SPINES ARTERIES IN ADULT PEOPLE

Year: 2006, volume 2 Issue: №2 Pages: 17-20
Heading: Macro- and Micromorphology Article type: Original article
Authors: Yu.A. Gladilin, V.N. Nikolenko, O.A. Fomkina
Organization: Saratov State Medical University
Summary:

Outer diameter and of intracranial parts opening were studied on native specimens of head brain in people at the age from 21 to 90. Proofs resilient properties were calculated with Means-Muller formula. It was founded that proofs size of intracranial parts resilient properties was 0.36, that is characteristic for muscle type arteries. It is equal in men and women and characterizes by existence of dissymmetry without clean left-right purposefulness.
