Summary:

The aim: to study pregnancy associated plasma protein A as a potential marker of myocardial necrosis with acute coronary syndrome. Material and methods. The rates of PPPP-A and insulin-like growth factor 1 were determined in 24 patients with acute myocardial infarction, in 18 patients with unstable angina and in the control group as well. Results. The rates of PPPP-A and ILGF-1 are accurately higher in the groups with acute coronary pathology in comparison to the patients with no ischemia. Conclusions. PPPP-A proves to be a marker of ischemia and/ or injury and could be used as a diagnostic predictor of an unstable atherosclerotic plaque in acute coronary development.

Influence of low-intensity electromagnetic fields on endothelial function in patients with chronic heart failure

Summary:

Objective: to evaluate the influence of low-intensity electromagnetic fields on endogenous bioresonance therapy on the level of asymmetric dimethylarginine in blood, as well as on the parameters of microcirculation in the assessment of endothelial function in patients with chronic heart failure. Material and Methods. The basic group included 40 patients with chronic heart failure (NYHA II): 17 female and 23 male patients. The average age of the patients was 56,4±10 years. The control group consisted of healthy volunteers (20 patients, including 10 women, 10 men aged 31 ±5 years). Assessment of vasomotor state of the endothelium microcirculation was carried out with the help of laser Dopplerflow-metry on the apparatus LAKK-TEST (T) («Lazma», Russia). After the procedure endogenous bioresonance therapy was held. The intervention by low-intensity electromagnetic fields was carried out with the help of a hardware-software complex IMEDIS-EXPERT mode of endogenous bioresonance therapy for 15 minutes. Vasomotor endothelial function of microcirculation was evaluated. The concentration of an inhibitor of nitric oxide synthases, asymmetric dimethylar-ginine in blood before and after the exposure to the intervention by low-intensity electromagnetic fields was studied. Results. After the endogenous bioresonance therapy the microcirculation M parameter in the main group, on the background of iontophoresis with acetylcholine counted in average6,13±4,7 PF units. After iontophoresis with nitroprusside it was 5,9±3,8 PF units. In the control group the rate of myogenic oscillation amplitude (Am) amounted in average 0,75±0,13 Hz, in the main group it was 0,68±0,26 Hz. Summary:

The study aimed to identify the initial signs of immune violations at professional athletes with the mitral valve prolapse. Material and methods. For establishment of frequency of occurrence of the mitral valve prolapse as manifestations of a displaziya of connecting fibers among professional athletes 541 persons were surveyed (329 young men and 212 girls), an average age was 22,4±1,2 and 21,3±1,3 years respectively. The athletes were exposed to the echocardiography doppler in a prone position on the left side. The immune status of athletes estimated indicators of cellular and humoral immunity: quantity of leukocytes, lymphocytes, phagocyte activity of leukocytes, T indicators — and V-cellular immunity. Phagocyte activity of leukocytes (monocytes and neutrophils) blood was estimated on an indicator of a phagocyte index — number of leukocytes (at %), capable to phagocyte a test-microbe (epidermal staphylococcus). Results. The mitral valve prolapse was revealed at 132 people (24,4%), 74 young men (22,5%) and 58 girls (27,4%). At athletes with a prolapse (132 people) had changes in the immune system, being shown in decrease of levels of im-munoglobulins, total of leukocytes in comparison with athletes without prolapse are revealed. Conclusions. At athletes with the mitral valve prolapse (especially at girls) in the course of adaptation to long and considerable physical activities changes are more often shown from immune system, than athletes without heart pathology. In particular, the total of leukocytes, level of immunoglobulins A and M decreases.

Summary:

Millimeter wave therapy in hypertonic disease treatment promotes disappearance of negative clinical symptoms, normalization of arterial pressure indicators, improvement of system and cerebral hemodynamic. In spite of active using of wideband equipment in treatment for cardiovascular diseases, particularly hypertonic disease, the procedures generalizing experience in their use are not enough. Thus further investigation, searching of new treatment methods using up-to-date physiotherapy technology seem to be actual.

Summary:

Aim: to estimate the influence of punctural millimeter wave therapy on clinical presentation. Material and methods. This study includes 102 patients with essential hypertension the I and II stage. Patients were divided into three equal groups depending on the method of treatment: some of them received procedures of punctural millimeter wave therapy, some of them received these procedures as the "placebo" and those who had not received specified procedures. Dynamics of clinical symptomatology and condition of eye bottom vessels was estimated. It was shown that addition of punctural millimeter wave therapy in complex therapy of patients with essential hypertension promotes the expressed regress of clinical symptomatology and state normalization the retinal vessels at these patients. Results. Addition of punctural millimeter wave therapy into the complex therapy was shown to lead to pronounced regress of clinical symptoms. Conclusion. The received results allow to recommend this method to be used in clinical practice for treating patients with essential hypertension.

Leukocytosis and clinical outcomes in patients with myocardial infarction with ST-segment elevation

Summary:

The aim of the study is to evaluate the frequency of occurrence of leukocytosis and its prognostic value for the course and outcome of myocardial infarction with ST-segment elevation. Material and Methods. The study included 245 patients aged 61,2 years, who were on treatment at the Department of Emergency Cardiology with diagnosis of acute myocardial infarction with ST-segment elevation. Results. Leukocytosis (white blood cell levels of more than 10*109/L) was observed in 34,7% of patients. The presence of leukocytosis was associated with increased incidence of congestive heart failure class IV at Killip, ventricular fibrillation and lethal outcomes during hospitalization. There were no significant differences in the incidence of adverse events in the long-term period between the patients with leukocytosis and with normal level of white blood cells. Conclusion. Increased levels of white blood cells (more than 10*109/L) in patients with myocardial infarction with ST-segment elevation is associated with a significantly increase relative risk of cardiogenic shock (Odds ratio 5,2, 95% Cl, 1,7-15,8, p=0.001), ventricular fibrillation (Odds ratio 8,5, 95% Cl, 1,9-38,3, p=0.001) and death during hospitalization (Odds ratio 2,47, 95% Cl, 1,87-38,4, p=0,03). The level of white blood cells on admission to hospital may be used as one of the additional factors predicting the risk of patients with myocardial infarction with ST-segment elevation during hospitalization.

Objective: to evaluate the clinical effects of delayed reperfusion of chronically occluded IRA in patients after Q-myocardial infarction (Q-MI), in relation to the general and local contractility of left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF). Material and Methods. The study included 200 patients with previous Q-MI. PCI for chronic occlusion of the IRA was performed in an average period of 1-2 months after the documented Q-MI.
