Siofor influence on the process of lipid peroxidation and antioxidant status at patients with metabolic syndrome

Summary:

The Purpose of the work is to research siofor influence (metformin) on the activity of the process of lipid peroxidation and antioxidant activity of blood serum at patients with metabolic syndrome. Material and Methods. 62 patients with metabolic syndrome at the age from 30 till 60 were examined and treated by siofor (1700 mg per day) during a year. The process of lipid peroxidation was studied due to the level of lipid hydroperoxide of blood serum. Antioxidant capacity was based on the antioxidant reaction in the blood serum with definite number of exogenic hydrogen dioxide (mkmole/l) with the method of ELISA. Results. Intensification of process of lipid peroxidation has been observed at patients with metabolic syndrome —the level of lipid hydroperoxide of blood serum has been 2,9 (1,94; 3,9) mkM, antioxidant activity of blood serum has been decreased — 276,4 (239,0; 379,9) mkmole/l. In 12 months of siofor intake hydroperoxide level has been decreased till 1,1 (0,8; 1,9) mkM, but antioxidant activity has been increased and amounted 320,0 (278,9; 334,3) mkmole/l. Conclusion. Siofor has been proved to be a highly effective medicine for correction of process of lipid peroxidation and for improvement of antioxidant activity of blood serum at patients with metabolic syndrome.

Programmed cell death and processes of lipid peroxidation in metabolic syndrome

Summary:

The purpose: To study possible interconnection between programmed cell death and the processes of lipid peroxidation in the patients with metabolic syndrome. Material and Methods: 270 patients with metabolic syndrome at the age of 30 till 60 (162 men and 108 women) have been examined. MC diagnostic was based on the criteria recommended by experts of society of cardiologists of Russia (2009). Lipid peroxidation was estimated according to the content of hydroperoxide (mkM), the programmed cell death process was studied with protein p53 concentration determination; high sensitivity C-reactive protein content in blood serum was studied by enzyme multiplied immunoassay method (ELISA). Results: In the patients with metabolic syndrome the programmed cell death processes and lipid peroxidation are intensified. High level of lipid hydroperoxide indicates it — 2,89(1,94; 4,1) mkM and protein p53-1,59 (1,361,91) U/ ml in blood serum. Summary:

The Research Objective: Correlation of apoptosis and senilism in patients with metabolic syndrome has been studied. Materials. Apoptosis inductor protein p53 concentration, insulin level in blood serum, biological age, ageing rate coefficient of 270 patients with metabolic syndrome of the age from 30 till 60 have been determined. Among them there have been 162 men and 108 women. Ageing rate coefficient and biological age have been calculated by A. G. Gorel-kin's and Pinchasov's formulae, protein p53 concentration and insulin in blood serum have been determined by enzyme multiplied immunoassay method. Results. Protein p53 concentration of the patients with metabolic syndrome has been increased and worked out 1,59 (1,361,91) U/ml, biological age, ageing rate coefficient have been increased — biological age to 6 years, ageing rate coefficient has been 1,32. Conclusion. These patients have been referred to the group with high risk of early pathology development because the processes of senilism are proleptic. The direct connection between protein p 53 and ageing rate coefficient (r+0,63, p< 0,05) and between apoptosis marker protein p53 and biological age (r+0,6, p< 0,05) have been determined.

The research goal is a quantitative and a qualitative analysis of emergency calls in Astrakhan during 2008. The method of complete observation was used in the research work. Data from the call charts of Emergency Service were thoroughly analyzed. Cases of emergency aid to the young working population ages 15-24 were under the study. 55,5% of cases were patients with acute diseases and 46,5% of emergency cases were as a result of accidents. The correlation between the number and character of nosology, and the age and sex of patients were determined. Summary:

The purpose of the research is to perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of emergency calls for children and teenager with intoxications in Astrakhan in 2005. Continuously observing cases of death from intoxication in children and teenagers aged 0-19 years in Astrakhan from 2003 till 2005 years have been examined according to the statistics of Astrakhan department (reg. form 5). Premedical aid given to children and teenagers has been thoroughly analyzed by means of data from the medical cards of ambulance calls filled in by emergency doctors (reg. form 110/u). In 2005 the total amount of emergency calls in case of intoxication counted 5,5% of 17,5% of accident calls. Statistics based on age groups of patients presented as follows: children ages 0 to 11 months 29 days - 4,9%, сchildren ages 1 to 4 years - 31,9%, сchildren ages 5 to 9 years - 4,5 %, teenagers ages 10 to 14 years - 17,1%, 15 to 19 years - 41,1%

Summary:

Low-intensify electro-magnetic waves (EMW) influence were studied at experiment. Certain EMI frequency regimes (they are transparent for the water and water-binding substances, and they are known as trans-resonance) can intensify the metabolic rate. In turn, certain EMW frequency regimes (they are not transparent for the water and the water-containing tissues, and they are called as non-resonance) can disturb the native electro-magnetic status of the cells and can lead to morphological changes in organs. Morphological changes in adrenal glands and cortizol level of 60 White Vistar rats (males) in serum under transparent EMW frequency regimes and non-transparent ones were examined. Transparent and non-transparent frequency regimes impact the various changes in adrenals. Cortizol level corresponds to morphologic conclusion. Stress modified EMW-effects in both variants - under resonance and non-resonance EMW frequency regimes in adrenal morphology and cortizol level.

The effects of resonance and no-resonance of the low-intensify EMW frequency regimes were examined in Vistar rats,males. The microscopic structures and histochemical changes in thyroid, thymus,adrenals,ovaries,and other organs were studied. Our researchers evidenced, that the resonance EMW frequency regime slightly stimulates cell mitotic activity and exchange of substances in organ’s parenchyma and micro-circulation in connective tissue stroma. Treatment the course of no-resonance frequency EMW regime deteriorates the ratio between parenchyma and mesenchyme components correlation is detected in organ.
