Summary:

The aim of the study: formation of a social portrait of specialist with secondary medical education in the regional healthcare. Materials and Methods. Survey included 464 nurses from medical organizations of the Saratov region. Mathematical and statistical processing of the data was carried out using traditional statistical methods using the application package ("Excel-2003", "BIOSTAT"). Results. The basic features of a professional group and problems of professional realization of nurses in the Saratov region were revealed. Conclusion. Identification of the major professional and social characteristics of the personnel allows to substantiate and to implement targeted measures to create conditions of professional realization of specialists with secondary medical education.
